Do you want to understand who Jesus is, from the eyes of the Father? Do you want to see how the Hebrew Bible (what we call our Old Testament) describes the heart of God for the Jew and the Gentile? This year, I'm doing a series of reading plans on YouVersion that take me through the Jewish Feasts. I'd love for you to join me!
I haven't done them before, so I can't vouch for them, but I'm willing to see if they give me greater insight into His Word. Why? Because I want to know Christ! Jesus is the Jewish Messiah! He's the One the scriptures foretold! The One who said the Word speaks of Him (Jn 5:39-40), who opened the eyes of the disciples to understand how the Word spoke of Him (Lk 24:27). The feasts are a part of that, so I'm doing these plans according to the current Jewish feasts calendar (see below), which starts and ends in September, according to the 2021/2022 calendar. |
YEAR 5782 Tishrei – Sept 7 - Oct 6 |
Of course, to participate, you need to let me know you want to participate (here in the comments, on Facebook, through direct message, in person, etc.), and add me as a friend on YouVersion, the platform for the plans... I will make sure to add you to the plans when they come up (you can cancel/stop anytime by letting me know).

* Numerous books and websites are available to search out more knowledge on the Feasts. Each of those sources are written/spoken from a perspective and should never take the place of scripture! Use them to help in your pursuit of Christ through the Word, but please be careful to rightly divide the Word of truth on its own, before placing your trust in outside sources.
You can use a good concordance to find all the biblical references to a feast or concept before going to some person or organization to learn their thoughts on the topic. Just because someone wrote something, doesn't mean it's true (that goes for me too). For example, to see the Torah Class Home page for the links above, and the stance of Torah Class' Beliefs, click on these links. Visit these sites, or others, as you like. Learning aspects of Jewish culture and practices from an organization, website, or person does not mean that you do, or must, hold to everything they believe, especially if you believe they do not hold to the authority of the Word in some point. The joy of your personal study will also be the great challenge that deepens your faith in Christ –– sometimes you will find that you are right where another is wrong, and be encouraged, but other times you will find you were wrong where another is right, and be challenged to submit your opinions to the truth.
Test all things against the Word, hold to the good, continue to follow Christ!
