Bing Crosby––a singer whom I usually couple with Christmas for some odd reason, at least in my dreams––sings this hymn, "Faith of Our Fathers." For any yuletide connection you also bear for this man's crooning, may it not rob you of the joy of these words. | Andrew Peterson has become one of my favorite artists over the years—and "The Sower’s Song" is a prime example of why. From the album "The Burning Edge of Dawn," the power in this song (of finding life even in pain and struggle) is rich with truth from the Word. | The song called "Storyteller," by Morgan Harper Nichols (done w/ Jamie Grace) is included here in case you need a midweek pick-me-up or a reminder. In case your life's difficulty threatens your joy with death, may this song remind you of the God who redeems the broken in us, bringing life from death. |

On a day when many find themselves starting to rush toward the weekend and consider themselves heroic to have made it this far, might I suggest we take a different tack on the Wednesday? What if these songs helped us bring a little more hope to (perhaps) the dreariest of weekdays?
